Working exclusively for FDC Construction we are completing the new Westpac 24/7 Banking roll-out on sites as far as Darwin and throughout the State of Queensland.
The challenges we face are the short time frames for fit-outs, usually no more than three days and working amongst a combination of trades to ensure the bank is open for business Monday morning.
Check out the Barry and Dean show at 3 am in the morning during night works in the Brisbane Valley!
Since we formed Wood & Wood in 1991 we have completed many State Government signage projects. The State Government law and order portfolio and the Department of Community Services are fitted out with our proprietary sign systems consisting of Iscatex, Paneltex, Infotex and Brailletactile.

Gasworks is one of Brisbane’s best master-planned communities, ideally located just 1.7km from the CBD and set within the impressive 17 hectare Newstead Riverpark precinct. Like the ground-breaking urban transformations of Docklands in Melbourne and Darling Harbour in Sydney, Gasworks is poised to completely revitalise a cleared brownfill site into a vibrant hub of activity – integrating world-leading retail, commercial, residential and civic spaces around the old iconic Gasometer frame.
Our design team incorporated the frame pattern into the signage concepts resulting in a complimentary, clean and contemporary wayfinding solution throughout the complex.

A full design and construction project under the management of local and renowned Architect Peter Thompsett. The design included a new logo and style guide along with an entire update of each and every sign at the resort. Most challenging was to achieve a solution for the main resort sign so it could be seen by passing traffic through well established trees on the way down to Hastings Street.
The photograph shown displays a great outcome and the halo illumination with LED lighting looks absolutely stunning at night in typical Noosa style.

Probably the one job we are most proud of……Working with John Holland and Phillips Smith Conwell Architects on a Project that went almost to the book. The two high level illuminated light boxes presented us with a tricky install task which was completed with the help of a 200 tonne crane with it’s boom at the limits of it’s extension. Our Design Studio created a functional clean suite of sign types which has set the standard for Ramsay Healthcare’s future developments.
We continue to design and construct pylons up to 6 metres in height using an all aluminium internal structural frame and base plate. This method of fabrication ensures an extended life for the sign unit with no risk of corrosion or rust that would otherwise occur using traditional steel materials. The light weight aluminium construction also saves fabrication, transport and installation costs.
